The ZOLL Heroes for Life programme acknowledges rescuers for their heroism and celebrates survivors of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). When someone collapses from a SCA, time is of the essence. Quick action from bystanders and first responders can make the difference between life and death.
The Heroes for Life program allows survivors of a SCA and ZOLL to honour the heroes who saved a life by using a ZOLL® AED.
From the person who was able to purchase the AED to the unexpected heroes who were able to provide CPR and use the ZOLL AED, to the EMS team who provided the next line of critical care – their efforts made a significant difference. That is something to be very proud of.
Helping Save More Lives
ZOLL is committed to helping save more lives by making AEDs readily available to the public. If a survivor agrees to share their ZOLL AED save story as part of our Heroes for Life program, they will receive a ZOLL AED to donate to their charity of choice. It’s a way to honour our survivors and to allow them to pay it forward by helping another victim of SCA.
By sharing SCA rescue stories, we can highlight the crucial role bystanders play in helping to increase the odds of survival. This is also a great way to teach people how to administer high-quality CPR and use an AED to restore a normal heart rhythm.
